Abstract

  • Sumatra Selatan Province in May 2022 experienced inflation of 0.83 percent, Inflation for the 2022 Calendar Year (cumulative) until May 2022 was 3.44 percent. “Year on Year” Annual Inflation (May 2022 to May 2021) of 4.44 percent. The dominant commodities that caused inflation in May 2022 in Sumatra Selatan, namely: air transportation, shallots, red chilies, broiler eggs, and purebred chicken, which experienced a significant price increase compared to the average price in April 2022.
  • Palembang City in May 2022 experienced inflation of 0.81 percent, Inflation for the 2022 Calendar Year (cumulative) from January to May 2022 was 3.44 percent. “Year on Year” Annual Inflation (May 2022 to May 2021) of 4.47 percent.
  • Lubuk Linggau City in May 2022 experienced inflation of 0.98 percent, Inflation for the 2022 Calendar Year (cumulative) from January to May 2022 was 3.34 percent. “Year on Year” (May 2022 to May 2021) annual inflation of 4.15 percent.
  • Indonesia in May 2022, based on price monitoring during May 2022 in 90 CPI cities throughout Indonesia, shows that 87 CPI cities experienced inflation, while 3 experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan City at 2.24 percent, the lowest inflation occurred in Gunungsitoli City and Tangerang City at 0.05 percent each. The highest deflation occurred in Kotamobagu City at 0.21 percent, the lowest deflation occurred in Merauke City at 0.02 percent.
