Number of tourists visiting Sumatera Selatan on Januari 2020 as many as 1,007 visits

• The number of foreign tourists visiting South Sumatra through the entrance of the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang in January 2020 was 1,007 visits, an increase of 32.15 percent compared to December 2019 which was 762 visits.

• Most of the foreign tourists visiting in January 2020 came from Malaysia with 520 visits (51.64 percent), Singapore with 169 visits (16.78 percent), and China with 49 visits (4.87 percent).

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Sumatra in January 2020 was recorded at 48.11 percent, down 10.87 points compared to the ROR of hotels in December 2019 which was 58.98 percent.

• The highest ROR for hotels is five-star hotels by 49.19 percent and the lowest is for one-star hotels by 32.97 percent
• The average length of stay of guests in South Sumatra in January 2020 at a star hotel is 1.44 days, down 0.10 days compared to December 2019. With details of 2.11 days of foreign guests 'stay and 1.44 days of Indonesian guests' length of stay /domestic.
• The average length of stay of the longest guest at a three-star hotel is 1.69 days and the shortest is 1.30 days at a one-star hotel.
